Study of soil moisture using Earth remote sensing data

Переключиться на Русский For more then 10 years the Laboratory of Radiophysics of the Remote Sensing, Kirensky Institute of Physics, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences has been involved in the research of soil physical characteristics and development of soil dielectric models and methods and algorithms to process radio-frequency data. Dielectric models developed at Laboratory are applied in algorithms of the one of the European Space Agency (ESA) space missions – Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS).

This Geoportal provides an overview on the subject and thematic maps prepared on the results of research.
